That was a helluva intentional hand ball by Arsenal at the beginning of the 2nd half.

  3. well at least we tried.... Arsenal play top class football and deserve to go through, europa league will be good anyway

  4. played well in the first half, unlucky to concede just before half time, second half we didnt look hungry or ruthless and thought all was lost. considering how many gooner twats i have as "friends" im not gonna live this one down for a long time considering i felt we punched a long way above our weight and just couldnt find the finishing touch

Just back from the game, a few points.

    1. Hinkel blows hot and cold, man it's painful to watch sometimes
    2. McGeady really needs to understand that he can't take on 3 players at once.
    3. Fortune? Oh dear.
    4. First goal was irritating to lose. Brown (I think it was) got hacked down THREE times and nothing was given, after going 2-0 up Arsenal were suddenly made of foam.
    5. I don't know wether to be * off or just feel sorry for Caldwell, it always happens to him : (.
    6. Arsenal fans deserve applause for starting a 'only one John Hartson' chant, appreciated.

    7. Finally, a big sarcastic THANK YOU to whoever lobbed a can/bottle at Arshavin (that hit the back of his legs), we don't need * twats like you at CP, * off and don't come back thanks. At least Arshavin never did a Dida and just shrugged it off.

  7. Why all the panic and anger?

We stopped Arsenal from passing it around us and into the goal, which is all we expected...in the first half we were more than their equal and things only went to * after a dodgy freekick took a massive deflection off of a guy trying to get out the way.

The only reason we lost tonight was because we got unlucky. Anyone who claims we lost because we were outplayed and never stood a chance is either delusional or didn't watch the game.

I was a few rows back, they turfed the guy out to applause but still we'll get fined for that.

Thought we had a solid first half and held our ground. Gallas was flukey and caldwell was unlucky. Its not like they outclassed us and scored 2 well deserved goals. Arsenal are a quality team and i think we can give the ma run for their money in the second leg :celt_2:

Gallas was classy and Caldwell was clumsy.

Excuse me? Twisting whose words? Gallas knew exactly what he was doing with that clearance.

No surpises. We played our usual tight home game with one striker moving to two late on. We did this under WGS at home when we played against really top teams. We actually played well fighting for every ball but we just were undone by two bits of bad luck. With any luck at all this would have been a 0-0, which I would have been happy with. However, psycologically its not a good start for Tony after the amazing CL home record against equally good and better opposition that WGS and MON had.
I though our defence were all good but I think Tony showed a bit of a laxk of knowledge of his own squad when he played Sammy rather than Skippy up front. He maybe does not realise how excellent Skippy is up front on his own in CL games.

    PS-We missed Naka.
