It's close between Nguemo, Fox & Hinkel but Landry gets my vote for not letting any Moscow players have a second's peace on the ball, constantly chasing them down, excellent challenges. The boy is going to be a star! :icon_mrgreen:

Boruc- 8: DIdn`t have to do too much, but dealt with everything that did come his way.

Hinkel- 8: Good coming forward. Provided a great cross for the 1st goal and kept us in the tie with his goal line clearance.

Caldwell- 7: Got caught out once at the edge of our box but dealt well with the lone striker.

Loovens- 7: Same as Caldwell really. They both spent the entire game mopping up forward passes to the 1 man up front and moving it quickly onto the midfield.

Fox- 8: Thought he was cracking tonight. Good with the ball and full of energy.

Maloney- 7: Worked hard all night without doing too much damage.

N'Guemo- 8: Chased everything, and didn`t give their midfield a chance to get into the game. We won because of him, simple as that.

Donatti- 8: Faded a little in the second half but he was outstanding in the first, spreading the ball quickly and accurately.

McGeady- 6: Thought he was really ineffectual tonight. Did a lot of running, but gave the ball away far too often.

McDonald- 7: Took his goal well, but couldn`t get into the game really as the Moscow defence (all 9 of them) stopped through balls getting to him.

Fortune- 7: Not ever really a danger on goal, and suffered the same issues as McDonald but worked hard and always made himself available.

Don`t rate subs, but then we all know the impact they had! :icon_mrgreen:

i am, too often wen we got an attack going and the ball went to him the attack broke down. usually because he tried to do too much or did a * pass. on another note i also thought maloney was brilliant and alot more productive than mcgeady

N'Guemo, he only lostt the ball once and when he did he won it back, that is the key to champions league game. you have at least 50% of the ball to have a chance of to win.

But as has been explained to you several times previously, it will come down to who the player want's to sign for. At the moment, we are the only bidder, should he keep performing like he has, he will attract a lot of interest. Do you still think he'd be as keen to sign a long term contract with Celtic if Arsene Wenger followed up on his previous interest in him?

As for man of the match, Hinkel for me, looked like the only player in a hooped shirt who could cross the ball.

well lads superb result this evening hoopy days are here again
Finally a left back and what a left back..
for me danny fox was astonishingly brilliant honerstly really impressed with the lad good control and composure a few crosses went ary but on the whole loved it also got say nguemo was sublime to watch lost the ball on a few occasions but what an attitude to track back and make amends for any mistakes that hard work is what wins you titles and cups!!

N'guemo was MOTM from me. Sometimes gave away the ball after dwelling on it for too long, but overall his peformance was a classic. Passing and tackling first rate.

Fox, Loovens, Brown,Hinkel were also great with Brown in particular playing great when he came on. Skippy, Maloney and even Aiden at times all done well as well. Special praise for Sammy as he gets stick week in week out from everybody including me and he done well tonight when most would have expected him to fail.

Caldwell was * IMO and he could have cost us a goal. Guys an SPL player nothing more.

nguemo was the star although there were a team load . Mcgeady wasnt his best in fact he wasnt up to much at al but played his part and fair play to fortune he was immense at holding up the ball and bringing the others into it and both full backs were good too so al in all bring on the next round
