We played well. Especially N'Guémo, McGeady and Maloney was really good.

We paid for a nervous start and lack of match fitness and sharpness.

If Mogga continue his work - the future gonna be bright. Not impossible to go to Moscow and score... I'm more than sure that we gonna have our chances next week to score those goals we need. And even if we lose out to Dynamo, we need to believe in ourself and continue with Moggas football philosophy.

    - Btw, Hinkel wasn't playing his lifes best game. But he is still one of the most important in the squad and a intelligent footballer. We have to accept that clubs on Celtics level can't afford "complete" footballers, and either chose fullbacks who are better in the offense or in the defence. And with the way Celtic play I say Hinkel is our man.

    - I think to sent on Sammy and Killen was the right choice. Sammy gave us some important movement and energy. Killen is a goalscorer - and if he play enough we know for sure he will be good for a lot of goals over a season.

    - Our mainproblems are still Naylor and Donati. Naylors crosses and passes aren't just good enough. Donati isn't a bad footballer. He just need to be more 'scottish' in his way to play. Imo his treatment with the ball is far too nonchelant and italian. He need to be more humble and hardworking.

1 competitive goal in 2 seasons (A fluke against Gretna) does not constitute him being named a "goal scorer" mate, I'm sorry.

    Good points.

Although, I think that maybe Killen should've started. We needed him in the air and that's something we should focus on in the future, good crosses and good aerial ability in opposition's box.

Lee Naylor. I'd rather pick a random man out of 60 000 people and let him play as left-back. Lee sucks more after every game.

    Yes, some positive thoughts :icon_mrgreen:

Agree we didn't play too badly and there are a few positives that can be taken from the game. It was always going to be difficult facing a team already half way through their season. We lacked that killer instinct but created a few chances and on another night at least one of those would have went in.

If we as fans give the team time to settle and gel without getting on their backs at the games then I'm positive we will do well this season. Although I am struggling to stick up for Naylor and Donati just now as I just don't think they shoud be in the team.

Also not entirely convinced by Killen but willing to give him a chance to prove himself.

totally agree:50:. I came on here after the game and could not believe some of the bile coming from Celtic fans. Mogga and the players getting it from all angles. Right we lost but ya have got to take the positives out of the game, for a start its Moggas first month in charge with more or less the same squad that lost the league last year give it time he will change it. Fortune was bad but his first real game for us and probs came to soon. it is quite obvious that Naylor, Donati, Killeen are not good enough but Mogga in herited them so bhoys and ghirls give it time. I was gutted like anyone else but simple fact is at the moment we are not good enough for the champuions league.

Agree with all that except the bit I highlighted never like Hinkel since day one.

But its good to see somebody speaking sensibly because i'm fed up with all the impatient * on this forum. Last night was the best football I had seen Celtic play in a long time and lack of match fitness was what cost us.

I agree aswell mate, every point spot on. I also think O'Dea should be given a chance, i still think Loovens has to prove himself at the top where as O'Dea has been a rock in CL games and OF games

They were far from crap mate... they were a very organized and professional outfit. They were very good in defence and I would imagine that most sides a couple of months behind them in match fitness would have struggled as much as we did.

I am not saying that they are unbeatable but I think that its understandable that some of our players are not as sharp as they can be.

I wonder why mogga didnt start killen because fortune was always out in the wing or outside the box when maloney or mcgeady were in good crossing positions. theres no point in playing guys down the wing for when they cross the ball mcdonald is the only one going for a header. Im not a big fan of killen buts a player like him we need no fancy tricks just getting in the box. also hope browns fit for moscow donati is hopeless. :celt_2:

Aye that * me off, Fortune always on the wing leaving skippy, one of the smallest guys on the park in the box for a cross. If i was mogga i would say to fortune, see that white box you go there and stay there then put the ball in the net, simple lol

I have never seen the good in Hinkle tbh. He can play ok but his positioning is shocking for a full international player.

I think killen could come on go a game. He looked really good in pre season and showed himself well when he came on the other nite. I think that he could be like a new player for us. He seemed better in pre season than jan seemed all last year.

Initial thoughts on Fortune are not good. Hopefully he will prove me wrong.

Really like the system we are playing though and I guess it will take a few real games to get tints in full flow which is a pity

True m8 fortune should be stayin in the box cause he's a big strong guy.... Also how come we didn't see Malloney switch sides way McGeady if they did the might ave got to the bye line more instead of havin to come inside when they reached the 18 yard line.

you fail to over look his crackin goals pre season? judging by them id say hes a goal scorer. and a crackin target man.

id have Killen over Fortune at the minute anyway.

You've seen Killen's best, but have we seen Fortune's best? We can't judge on only one competitive performance, no matter how poor it was.

lets face it mate. hes a striker. and in my very honest opinion i think any other striker would have buried the chances that fell to him last night.

i think killen will always be second choice, but if we can maybe get some decent crosses sent in the box, both killen and fortune would be better. both big bhoys. i'd still go with fortune though, he can run with the ball.

Agreed about the chance. But I think we should give the lad a chance, he maybe buckled under pressure and all those expectations weren't maybe affecting him very well. 3.8m were spent on him, so expectations were high. Now, I think Killen might have done better yesterday because we focused on aerial battle in the box, where Fortune isn't as good as Killen.
