Indeed, this is all there is to it!

And not taking a saltire 'cos it's blue, well, I reckon that's a wee bit takin' it too far...

I'd love to see both Saltire & Tricolour at the CP, and that precisely, IMO, is what's making Celtic look like something "more than a club".

Jeez SORRY for starting this argument all it was, was an idea for a flag display that went pearshaped into a big argument about people waving a saltire at CP

    Don't apologize.

I, for one, always wanted to know about this.

What a waste of time and effort that was, and no doubt inflated the ego of an undeserving total *.

How about this to shock the world...

A flag with a BIG sky blue and white saltire?

If it ever got to the stage where you had to bring one kind of flag, and every other flag was ridiculed, whom would we have become?

    Exactly.

Im proud to be Scottish. Im proud of my Irish roots. So I will bring either of those flags to the game.

Do you know what would be awsome? The next Hun game at CP - Celtic fans bring flags of all nations - our global inclusiveness would show their bitter parochialism for what it is................it would fry their tiny minds!

I was born in Scotland but now live in Ireland - I don't bring any flags to the game but if I did it would be the Irish Tri-Colour as I have never supported Scotland, however, Celtic were established in Scotland, are based in Scotland and have Scottish fans if anyone wants to bring a Saltire to the game I don't see what the problem is.

Celtic were founded to help the poor - although in the West End of Glasgow at the time that was mainly Irish immigrants no distinction was made - you didn't have to be Irish to get help, likewise today you don't have to have any connection to Ireland to support this club.

What makes Celtic "more than just a club" is not what flag is waved but the fact the EVERYONE no matter of race, creed, religion, colour or nationality can be an equal part of this club - people who have an issue with others bringing the Saltire to games should maybe remember that we are a club open to all before they give out at other Celtic fans.

There are only two flags that are an ever constant above the North Stand - the Irish Tri-Colour and the Scottish Saltire both flags represent our club.

i Agree with what you are saying,I was Born in Scotland of Irish Descent and the only flag i would bring to Celtic park is the Tri-colour,i wasn't brought up to Support the Scottish National Team always the Irish one,and i will continue to do so,I have as much right to feel Irish as I do Scottish,so for me the Irish Tri-colour is the Flag of Choice.

Do you have a problem with fans flying the saltire at Parkhead?

Were your parents born in Ireland?

Do what * Hibs fans do. Take a green and white Scottish flag with you. Problem solved.
