Anybody not quite confused by the potential Bamford deal. I would be happy enough with Griffiths, Dembele then potentially Sinclair playing there if need be. dont get me wrong I would be over the moon with 3 strikers of Griffiths, Dembele and Bamfords quality but 3 seems alot.

Nah, no chance of making it there. Coming here could be a great move for him.

With how nuts the transfer market in England is, I'd imagine you're right about a fee being substantial. I'd still be disappointed if we don't negotiate one anyways just in case he sets the heather alight.

If we are planning on playing Dembele and Griffiths together quite a bit then we need a better option to come in than Ciftci.

I mentioned this elsewhere. If we were still going with the 1 striker style then I'd maybe agree.

The thing with Bamford is that he can also play in a wider role. So he could come into the side in place of Sinclair or Roberts.

As you can see, versatile player. His record coming in from both wings is impressive.

I also agree with you James, however if we are targetting guys like Bamford and Sinclair I'm not as concerned. I definitely think we should be looking at the likes of St Juste and Kaputska as well. It would provide an excellent mix.

Do you lad's reckon we'd be better going with these tried and tested British player's first, then maybe trying to snap up the sort of hot young European prospects when our house is back in order?

Could be Brendan's kinda thinking, for now..

I agree about the market completely, but if we can attract a better type of quality than what we've got, we have to be happy for now..

I don't really mind the signings that much but I do agree we should be broadening our horizons a bit more in the transfer market than just England. This is the only market Sevco seem to be shopping in as well albeit the bargain basement in comparison to ourselves.

Aye I'm coming round to the idea more, McGuire.

Like I said there, if we get in guys like Sinclair, Bamford, Chalobah on deals I'm happy. These are Hooper, Ledley and Commons-esque signings IMO. Guys who I'd be confident of being able to do the business up here. Even if admittedly I was sceptical over Sinclair, I have warmed to the idea given that he won't cost the world as I thought at first.

Then add in your St Justes, Kaputskas, Sisto type signings from the continent and smaller nations and you are getting a brilliant mix of British players and foreigners.

Hoping there is something to the Bamford rumour as I rate him.

Can't see us getting Sisto but if we were to chase him i'd rather him to Sinclair tbh.

    Was just an example mate.

As would I. Rumours of him going for 4m or so.

    Totally agree mate..

It was never gonna be a quick fix, with the over bloated squad we have, plus plenty of them being not good enough..

It's been a real patience game, and the last week or so it's started getting tiresome, but we really do look to be going for quality, however long it takes..

I'm confident in the future that kinda batch of prospect's you boy's are on about will start being infiltrated with the tight quality group we'll have left..

Dembélé, Touré, Sinclair would be a real good window...with Ajer effectively a new signing . Bamford would be an added bonus..

That'd be some start to the rebuilding..

Leicester have bid €6 million for Kaputska so we can tick him off the list as well.

I like the idea of Chalobah coming in on loan if those rumours are true.

Just need to wait and see. It is certainly more promising than a day or so ago.

Was getting * off there for a bit. I'm just a wee bit impatient at times mind you.

Aye, I was commented on earlier about being negative - I really am, mates always say it too.

Good signings I suppose but dead OldCo Newco style man - we need to stay clear of the market down there as much as possible.

Buying young foreign talent is where its at and there are plenty of good ones available - St. Juste, Sisto etc and we * missed out on Elyounnousi (sp).

Nothing exciting me just yet. We'll convincingly wrap the league up with them, easy but Europe - dunno how we'd fare.

Bamford would excite me. An in form Sinclair is an exciting player to watch too.

It's about finding the right mix. We managed it under Lennon, given time Rodgers will do the same.

I can't see us abandoning the foreign policy completely. No chance.

Ajer and even Dembele, despite him coming from England, are good examples of us continuing it.

We should definitely be all over Gokhan Inler.

Quality player, totally being overlooked at Leicester, left out of the squad.

    Get it done Brendan!
