Said it numerous times, Allan (despite being a currant bun) would be an excellent signing.

Has fantastic vision and passing just needs to learn when to use it and he could be a quality player under Deila IMO.

Aye he's at his level, that's why it looked like men v boys every time he drove at Falkirk. Cut them open all over the place with a decent striker he'd have had 3 assists at least.

Yeah Falkirk not the opposition we would be aiming to tear apart regularly. Wouldn't get a game in our team anyways.

Lubo Moravcik couldn't get a game for FC Duisburg when Celtic signed him.

    What is your point?

Aye go by the exception not the rule. Hes not good enough for europe and he wouldn't get a game in the current midfield.

I like him and I'd want him here, but seriously, where would he play?

Mulgrew couldn't get a game for Wolves then became our POTY, Craig Gordon couldn't get a contract at a mediocre Championship side in Sevco yet is a POTY candidate, Larsson surplus to requirements at Feyenoord possibly our greatest ever player.

There is no 'rule' if a player is good enough then he is good enough. Not signing players because they failed at a Club in a different Country years ago :56:

Where hes going to play seriously ,midfield two not a chance . 3 supporting attackers not there either we already have much better there ,needless signing and over rated.
will get a big shock when he plays at a decent level and doesn't have 10 seconds to pick a pass.

We could do worse than go for a player like Sibbald. Looks far better imo than the likes of McGeouch and McGregor.

    Over rated by whom?

You don't have to have a position for him to play to sign him, a very peculiar fad on this forum is to find a place for someone before they've even signed. What happens if there's injuries or players leave? Or simply he becomes a better option?

I liked at him at Dundee United, he now has plenty experience and IMO has the potential to be a fantastic, well rounded, footballer with a few tweaks. There's no doubting his ability with the ball at his feet.

Allan is decent however he wouldn't get a game for us right now. Would enhance the squad mind you.

There would be certain games a guy like Allan who has the ability to go past people then try things would be a better option than Commons who, although being creative, is ponderous.

We obviously have someone like that in Johansen and do use him there but you can never have enough good footballers in your side and Allen falls into that category and also our current signing policy of young, home bred with potential resale.

I like Craig Sibbald to be honest, I hope he sticks around in Scotland. 150 first team games by 19, unreal.

Can see him going south like Arfield did.

Donno if it has been suggested before but i'm surprised we haven't been linked with Adam Rooney That's 27 goals for him in the SPFL now. Certainly better than what we have on the bench in terms of strikers. Unproven in europe however a guaranteed 20 gl a season striker domestically and wouldn't cost the earth.
