    I was disappointed when the deal for Ciani fell through a couple of seasons back, especially when it was over such a relatively small amount of money (and he seemed quite keen on the move from what I remember) . I have no idea if he's still decent, but if we could get him here on a decent wage it'd be good to have an experienced CB alongside a prospect.

    Sako would be good as well from what I've seen of him. Was he not getting quite a lot of attention a season or so ago? I'm sure he was being linked with just about every mid table side down south at one point.

    It seems unlikely to me. I can believe that we're interested in McGeady and that they're interested in Van Dijk but I doubt even Peter Lawwell knows the amount of money that would swap hands in such a deal (unless it's already being negotiated). :smiley-laughing002:

    * knows mate boys at 5's the night were talking about it! Don't know where they heard it from, I know distin and Alcaraz are out of contract and it leaves Everton with only 2 CB stones and jagielka and Martinez hasn't been playing mcgeady and mcgeady wants a move but just speculation interesting though IMO

    We have been linked with Mongongu and Ciani before so they could be possibilities.

    Sako would be an unreal signing but every deadbeat PL club in Englandshire will be all over him offering 60k a week no doubt.

    Big Austrian fella? Remember him from the Euros. Decent defender, but not really the type we've gone for in recent years, in that he's pretty slow.

    I'm judging from a tournament years ago, but he never looked comfortable with the ball at his feet.

    Yes, I know. However his contract is up in the summer, offer him one last crack at the champions league and the chance to play for one final top european club:)bbpd:)

    Would still score aplenty here and give us vital experience in Europe.

    This won't be the last time he is suggested this weekend so I'll get it in early. Scott Allan :icon_mrgreen:

    I'm not sure where he would fit in at all, it could be a total waste but he's just the sort of player that you'd hate to miss out on. If he doesn't come to us then I hope he at least stays in Scottish football.
