From watching highlights of him so far this season I'd have to agree, definitely something there.

Would love back-up and competition for izzy as well and Buttner would certainly be that.

Ryan Gauld please Lenny! Creative, two footed, vision beyond his years, floats past defenders. Surely we should be snapping the best young Scottish talent up and he definitely fits under that criteria.

Matt Phillips isn't upto much at QPR, I'd like him here. Has the creativity we may be missing.

He could do a lot worse, he could go to Real Madrid. They are looking at him.

Just confirmed why I give these threads a bodyswerve.

Ryan Gauld for Madrid and Stokes to to run his contract down and leave Celtic.

I think he'd get in our starting XI, think it would only encourage his development by being around european class players week in week out.

Well when scouts have been to watch Ryan Gauld and they already have a Scottish youngster playing for them in Jack Harper, it isn't that far fetched. He is only 17 after all. Nobody said he is signing for them in a Bale style front page transfer and heading straight into the first team, they just scouted them.

    Ok then.

And how many youngsters have left Scotland for Spain and became a superstar.

And how many people would be happy for an established star to leave Celtic while lamenting the fact that a youngster was was doing well for a Scottish club?

Far too many people playing FM on here and thinking they're Neil Lennon.

I have no idea what you mean by that and how it relates to what I said.

Gauld could go to Real Madrid for 2/3 years, maybe play one first team cup game or something but play regularly for the reserves and he would get a much better experience than sitting on our bench or playing for Dundee United. He could then come back to Britain and be a much better player THEN become a star.

What exactly were you expecting in the player suggestions thread?

"I suggest that we all leave Neil Lennon to his job as none of us internet sad acts are realistically going to have a say in the club's immediate recruitment policy."

What a thrilling thread that would be.

Hard to ignore Stevie May. He has been impressive form this season.

I wouldn't mind him coming in January but the problem would be if he'd get the game time and as a 20yr old, he needs it.

Stevie May is a player that I would be more than happy to sign and loan back to St. Johnstone, which is exactly the same deal we should have put in place with Hamilton for McCarthy.

You know how it is with lennon, Theres players like Mcgeough and Atajic who are technically very good but the thing is our team just suffocates them and with commons playing through the middle everyone else gets shoved out wide, Gauld would probably fail in our team, not because of his ability but because of being managed poorly, I hope he stays at Utd for a few years and becomes a really good player and then maybe we will sign him and actually play him where he should play

When is McGeady out of contract with Spartak Moskva? Surprised he didn't move in the summer window and that he hasn't moved on to a bigger club by now. Highly rated in Russia.
