Has Raul got a club for next season ? I seen that he was leaving Shalke. Would be amazing to get someone with his quality and experience. Showed at Shalke that even at his age he could still score

Unfortunately he was on something like 100 grand a week. Or at least i think he is so don't hold me to that. Players like him and RVN even at the age they are at still command some huge salaries that are simply out of our reach.

He's too injury prone to risk giving huge wages to. Another Bellamy situation imo where although it could be a great coup, realistically it would be bad business for the club and is defo not a signing Peter Lawell would agree with.

I really hope we don't go down the road of singing so called "big name players" who are coming to the end of their careers it never works out and just ends up a waste of money. we should stick to our current policy which has been hugely successful so far and it will provide profits when we choose to sell these players

Would say we should bring in some experienced and younger players

    Tal Ben-Haim - 30 - Portsmouth - free
    Vicente - 30 - Brighton - free/minimal
    M Owen - 32 - man u - free

    Russell - 22 Dundee u - 1/1.5 mill
    Dixon - 25- Dundee u - free

    Tal Ben-Haim - *
Vicente - Average. No better than Commons atm.
M Owen - Maybe, he can put the ball in the net but his wages would be high.

    Russell - Yes
    Dixon - Yes

    Paul Hanlon.

Only 22 but by far one of hibs best players this year and IMO better than other young defenders like Danny Wilson.

Owen would be good, doubt it would be viable though.

Think it all depends what Owen is looking for if he came up here he would get a league winners medal and a shot at the champs league.

If we are going to sign anyone from the SPL it should be Russell from Dundee United, don't think any of the players you mentioned would improve us.

Burak Yilmaz is apparently available for around £6 million :35: I know the chances of him joining would be slim to none but if hooper does indeed leave and we get a good bit of cash surely we may as well make an offer. After all we need someone to partner Tony Watt in the champions league :icon_mrgreen:

What is a player of Vincente's calibre doing at Brighton? such a waste...

Anyways Yilmaz is by far out of reach...

I would go for Tom De Sutter

Owen is always injured and his wages are too high. We need a striker that can lead the line and hold the ball up front when required in Europe.
