    Haha, you're absolutely right, I was being a bit 'bold' shall we say. Believe me tho, the irony was not lost, I was fully braced for the backlash:icon_mrgreen:

    Interesting thing about it tho: If guys like Fletcher are now 'out of reach', then where do we go in terms of 'established' talent? I am someone, like you, who believes we should show faith the the likes of JR and GMS, in the hope that they can develop further at Celtic. But of course, then you will have folk saying "they are no better than what we have" yaddy yaddy yadda. I dare say, Fletcher and McCarthy were "no better" than what we had at one point...cannae please everybody I guess.

    I wish! Highly rate him but don't think he'd want/Chelsea would want him to come to us. Probably go on loan to a Europa League club next season, or play a bit part role for Chelsea if Drogba leaves.

    I'd give him a 2 season deal, the number 7 shirt and a crack at the Champions League as our talisman.
