i personally wouldnt go for McDonald. Hes too much in the mould of Hooper,Stokes in my opinion. He was good for us about 3 year ago - time have moved on. He isnt as good or as sharp anymore IMO.

Would Dunne be playing today if this was true bearing in mind he would need to have a medical?

Maybe a strong CF bearing in mind the amount of corners we don't take advantage of. Anyone that could win the ball in the air or knock a CB off balance creating space for the other forwards.

I wouldnae mind Goodwillie joining Celtic. but if he was just gonna be a squad player i don't think his form would be good , he would need to get a few games. Watching sportscene last night Craig Levien stated that he would be surprised if goodwillie was still with utd next week.

I wouldn't touch Ireland on loan, the guy is a total oddball.
I've seen some really bizarre things written about him over the years, and i don't think he is half the player others or indeed he himself thinks he is.
Celtic should concentrate on Wilson, Westwood, and Commons. These guys are availible in the summer on a bosman and i think they could be exactly what we need to build for the future.
Also i think Lennon should look at one of Wes Hollahan or Adam Hammill, both players doing well down south, availbile for < 1m and who have previously done well in Scotland.

Celtic should look to grow a team, rather than bring in expensive temporary players who just stunt the growth of the ones who already belong to us. Look at Rasmussen last season compared to preseason for us, when he went for great to awful. Keane and Kamara's loan spells ruined his Celtic career, and what do we have to show for it now as neither are still here
    Long term planning !!

    Great post, spot on!

Short term loan deals where we have no chance of keeping the player are not good for building a team.
Especially in Irelands case where he is off form and plays a position we have a number of players in.

iam sick of these stupid loans all were doing is puttin the player in the shop window for sumbody else to buy him,if we do any loans there should be a fee agreed for a sale to us at the end of it
