Not too sure about him to be honest. He bombed with Hamburg last year and has been shipped out on loan. He's decent - nothing more IMO.


Getting players who were good back in the day but only coming up here for their pension aint the way ahead either IMO.

 

He's still a young lad and is doing the business in Holland. He started out ok in Germany but didn't hit the heights. Is a proven finisher in Holland and for Sweden u21's- now the national team. He would be quality I reckon. Mobile, quick, good with the head. He plays with PSV, he must have something about him!

 

To be fair hamburg have Paolo Guerrero and Petric and Van Nistlerooy Berg was 4th choice we seen his qualitys at celtic park i think he would rip the spl appart ... kean is sitting on the bench still think redknapp wants a quality striker kean for celtic ??

I can only speak from what ive seen of him and hes not looked anything great too me. Hamburg would want a good portion of the 9million they payd for him too - its a no go IMO.

We shouldnt even think about buying another striker anyway until we get the defence sorted. We signed 3 strikers in the summer on top of the ones we already had so there's no need for another one.
Defence should be the priority.

if keane comes january again then it must be to be bought , i will not be too happy if its a loan for a platform for keane to shine so he can * off to villa at the end of the season ! given may be a possibilty but again it must be to buy . personaly id like to scrap both and spend quality money for a couple of decent defenders !

Marcus Berg is pish at PSV atm. Doenst have a starting XI place. Reis is impressive.

 

I still think the fact PSV took him, and his past time in Holland makes him a good player.

 

There's no way we can sign players on the basis he plays for PSV lol. PSV arent the side they were and have down-sized quite a bit in the last few years.

I know that lol. I didn't mean it in that way. What I meant was that they fancied him and they are a decent side. I would never say, "oh he plays for them lets buy him". But there's no denying he could do the job. He must be doing something right.
