    We could match the fee but with wages aswell you would be looking at near to 10million plus no chance dream on ,

    :31:Markus Berg you having a * laugh , he's valued at 10million where the * do we have 10million for a fee never mind wages ,

    Why would we want to;

    a) Buy a poor player in an area of the team where we already have 5 players (6 if you include Misun) competing for 2 places
    b) Spend £5M on a player who will be 30 in a couple of months, meaning no resale value
    c) Buy a player expecting premiership level wages for SPL level performances

    No, No, and thrice, No.

    K.Schmeichel (for 2nd choice and poss future no.1 and forget about zaluska!)
    A.Del Horno (solve our left back problem)
    M. Bradley (was fantastic during the recent confedrinations cup and would be excellent beside brown in the middle)0
    J.McCarthy
    A new left mid...still think adu would do a great job there and move mcgeady to the right. but i know a few ppl don´t rate adu that highly. Or one i´ve been saying for ages is G.dos Santos!
    another american in altidore maybe need to be a loan signing with view to a permanent first

    just a idea sort of a mix between me thinking he is a good player and also thinking about the mowbray connection but how about the young promising 22 year old dutch full back Gianni Zuiverloon what you reckon,

    probably already on £25k bid of £2.5mill to test the water and then if needs be go to £3mill plus bonuses etc...

    i think highly obtainable

    can't be bothered with him any more, for 2 years now he's been all over place in and out of clubs, safe to say maybe thats a sign he's a bit of a * end and tough to please to keep him settled

    I think he was having fitness issues last year but still played in every international game that came along. cracking player, even if he is a * end, he gets too big for his boots you just ship em out

    Aron Gunnarsson - Coventry - 5m
    Royston Drenthe - Real Madrid - 6m
    Freddy Guarin - Porto - Unsure
    Sean St. Ledger - Preston - 1.5m
    Renatinho - Kawasaki Frontale - Unsure
    Vitorino Antunes - Roma - 3m

    BTW unsure means i couldnt find any transfer details on them... Anyway i would love for these players (1 or all) to come to Celtic in the future... Might sort out some problems...

    I dont see why we dont embark on a premiership relegation raid. With all the decent quality players that have made the drop to the championship we could get some real bargains.

    Newcastle(realistic imo):
    -Jonas Gutierrez
    - Damien Duff
    - Habib Beye - left back solution?
    - Danny Guthrie
    - Sebastian Bassong

    Middlesbourgh(realistic imo):
    -Justin Hoyte
    -Emmanuel Pogatez
    -Chris Riggot
    -David Wheater

    Centre-half from Spurs Dorian Dervite. Never had a look in and is expiring 2010 to my knowledge. Established France U21 would be a great signing I think.
    Would have liked to see us take a chance on Adel Taarabt from Spurs too. Full of talent and I think he would flourish up here.
    Oh and I'm still beating the drum for Armand Traore on loan!
