No one turned Celtic down, i think it was just tabloid tattle. From what i have been told Mowbray has always been the 1# target. I am not positive on the assistant coaches, but i would imagine it would be Neil Lennon and Peter Grant. I really think they are grooming Lennon to be the future manager, thats why they are keeping him.

Paul Robinson was prefered by mowbary over a former target of ours cech.robinson even wore the captains armband under mowbary.

Paul Robinson signed a new contract at the start of last season, so he would be an absolute fortune. Maybe they would like to swap Lee Naylor for him, I like Naylor but his family Problems are clearly affecting his performance on the park.

robinson is 30,so id imagine,1millon plus naylor would be more than enough.naylor previously lived in the midlands when he played for wolves.so looks likely if mowbary really is the boss.

Just as its becoming known Mowbray is coming in, thinking back to last weeks TB match did Peter Grant not look far too excited?

He was running about like a schoolboy laughing and smiling, probably knowing that he'd be coming "home" in a week or two. I thought Grant looked in brilliant shape aswell, be good to see how he and Lennon link up as a coaching double act.

Although I might be getting carried away so soon but after hearing today and then that report thing must be a matter of time.

Mowbray is far from the best manager in the world but he is capable of doing well with Celtic, I like the fact that we will play fast flowing football and I guess most of the fans will be happy, I think its a good appointment but just wait to I break into management they will regret not taking me seriously.

    Rather have Cech tbh.

Robinson's in his 30s now, for one thing... I'd rather see us sign a long-term solution to the LB problem.

    You may be right.

But any Celtic fan who, in their own mind, relates more to the media hacks than they do to the Celtic manager seriously needs to take a long hard look at themselves.
