According to the sun Hartley and JVOH are both to be offered new one year contracts. Is it me or does this seems like madness and a waste of money. I believe we have had all we are going to get from Jan and its time to move on. Hartley I do admire but I fink its time for some young blood.

Taking the easy way out as per. We should have some balls and offload players past their peak. Strachan had no problem dumping celtic legends like Sutton and Hartson when he deemed them to have passed their best, yet when its players he has signed we offer them new deals despite it being clear to every fan and his dog that they are offering very little.

Enough, they've served their time and done us proud, but it's time to go.

If VoH is given a new deal it will be a disgrace. Hartley could be a useful squad player for another season or two.

Boruc would play better up front than VOH! as for hartley he was poor against hibs passing was awful(altho not as bad as naylors!) and my gran could run faster "halfway" hartley and shes been dead for years! paying the fukin money for mccarthy!!!:31:

I don't see how these experienced heads don't deserve another year. Especially as 4th/5th choice midfielder and striker respectively.

I feel with the good wages venegoor receives, it would benefit the club for him to move on and provide those wages to someone else who is mobile and will stay injury free as he surely must be one of the highest earners, and the simple fact is he is passed his best. Hartley is also passed his best and it would suit both parties for him to move on. I cant see how the club is going to progress by signing both on new contracts.

JVOH, yes - although he needs to have a SIGNIFICANTLY better season than last to justify his wages (i wonder if the new deal will be more performance related?)

Hartley, no - Strachan has a lot of faith in him, which is fair enoguh...not for me though. Plenty of other options already.
