If Strachan was to go!

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by cat123, May 17, 2009.

    Lol, why?

  1. Because he's a good record with Burnley working on a shoestring, plays good attacking football and knows the spl.

You said earlier inthis thread that therewas no one better than wgs,he's not the worst but to say theres no one better than him is laughable.

You then said you'd like Klinnsman, a man that has just been sacked as manager of Bayern, after doing a woefull job:56:

  2. strachs not going anywhere. realisticly who could we get? craig levein? john collins? owen coyle? are they better than strachan?. no.

  3. OK, you've given me your reasons thanks.

Well if Coyle was to go to replace Wattie at Rangers, would you be * it? I know I wouldn't. He's been in England for ONE year and failed to win the FIRST division in Scotland with the best team. OK, he did well in the cup against the likes of Arsenal jnrs etc but has a lot to live up to in terms of WGS's Euro experience.

And that brings me into Klinsman. Fantasy yes, but are you telling me he wouldn't be a good Celtic manager?

  4. you dont know that any of the men you mentioned would'nt do a better job,,did you think wgs would be as successful as mon??

  5. Yes, I did and was right:50:

  6. doubt it very much,,would love you to prove me wrong though:86:then i'll send your blue peter badge 1st class...

  7. darren ferguson done a good job with peterborough and his old man could loan us two decent strikers

  8. Cool, I quite quite like badges:50:

He's been far more successful than his predecessor in many ways including the clubs financial status and European results and progression. Shame the board haven't backed any of them as they got ahead of the opposition.

  9. :56:

    sorry, but that is ridiculous

  10. Paul le guen for me would be a outstanding manger hes one of the best young managers around people here going on about coyle etc get real hes down nothing within the game etc yet hes done well with burnley but hes not ready to step up to a club like us yet .

Reason being a would be happy with le guen i really think hes a class act he has taken a poor psg and turned them into a classy young attacking side , his contract is up and wont be given a new 1 duno y i think theres problems with the board , le guen would get the best out our new set up here and would blood the youth and bring in a much better class of player i honestly feel the board would back a manager like him more than Wgs due to his european and world pull ,

Martin jol , moyes etc all what fans want but would never leave clubs like Hsv and everton to come here , why take a step down ?

  11. Walter smith :icon_mrgreen: :84: :56: :31:

  12. Hows about Joe kinnear? Whats Sven upto these days?

  13. i wouldnt mind getting in john collins

  14. Win or lose next week we need a change.

levein would be a good option.

what about mick mccarthy or roberto martinez

I'd be happy if we got Coyle or Mowbray.

    Or Sven :fear:

  16. david moyes would be my first choice but he's no gonny come so i would go with phil brown

  17. No? Well we won't know that until we try. One thing is for sure - the mediocre pish won't disappear if he stays.

    Now there's a sobering thought.

  18. Hwy does everyone want mowbray, hes not been that impressive west brom relegated, he puts good football before results, i dont want to be bttom of the leauge while hes sayin ye were playin good football but not scoring

  19. berti vogts :icon_mrgreen::rolleyes:
