The fact is though Hammer mate, are we a good team ? that actually deserves to win the league this year ?

Here we go again I have never been a Lawell or WGS No1 fan but fgs guys this always comes about when we lose and it's time to change the record! The team didn't perform today like they haven't performed on many other days it's that simple......bar going out and playing himself there's little else the manager can do. He was brought in to do a job...cut the wage bill and try to bring success and he's done that.

WGS has made mistakes with some of the signings but a few others have just let him down big time. I don't know if he would do any better if more money was made available to him but at least he deserves one more chance to see if he can do better.
We keep banging on about needing quality strikers and left backs etc but it's not purely down to money (although I think that was behind us not signing Fletcher)or WGS......... quality players don't want to come to what has been considered by some
as an inferior league and I don't think even money would swing it.

In the event of WGS going who the * would step in is there seriously a better manager just floating around waiting for the job?

 

Dud after dud that has won us more leagues in a row than for 30 odd years, taken us further in Europe than for 20 odd years.

Obviously they are the worst team in years.

And before anybody says it, yes i'd rather take actual results, trophies etc rather than the way we play which is a lot more attractive than the long ball merchant MON.

We had hugely entertaining teams under Burns but he'd be the first one to say that he'd have preferred a league championship.

 

Winning the league this year doesnt make us a good team, its embarassing on Rangers part if they don't win it now

 

We cant find a player better than Lee * Naylor

It's not a scapegoat at all. The buck has to stop somewhere. Where would you rather? I dont see how you cant/wont criticise what you saw today.

The players aren't good enough, the manager isnt good enough and the lies we are being told every year arent good enough.

We have been signing duds, hasbeens and prospects for the best part of 4 years now.

i see your point BUT i think its a little harsh i mean in january for one it was reported we offered one guy 40k pw to come and he chose west ham and as for gems man utd raided ital for macheda and arsenal are signing them at 14 i mean EVERY club in the world is looking for these gems and yes we ARE a big club BUT not every player agrees and then theres the perception of our league which i dont think is as bad as its painted but you can offer all the money in the world for players but if they dont rate our league they would probably go to the epl for instance for less cash or go there purely for the cash . wgs has had a few failure3s but * which manager hasnt but while trying to lower the costs and the age of the squad he has been successful so lets be honest even if we lose the league and i dont believe we will lets not be short sighted we are still a good team and the winning streak would come to an end at some point

 

Theres been plenty of threads like this when most of strachans signings came to light.

Besides if someone brings up a subject like this and we are having any sliver of success were branded "anti-WGS".

I dont agree with that, there's constant threads about our poor signings either blaming the board or wgs,

Are you honestly happy with our return on our investments the last couple of years

 

all this criticism isn't new.

 

most celtic fans i know have been unhappy for a long time.

i certainly haven't been happy with the board since seville. january just tipped me over the edge.

 

Yeah but threads like this only come out when a bad result comes through, One bad result and the whole board has to go. After 3 years of relative success and financial prosper.

Most fickle fans in the world.

 

win or lose we're still not deserving of a league title.
