Left back, centre mid and a striker should be priorities. Not got a good enough left back, no first pick partner to Brown and no consistent partner for skippy. Jermaine beckford has scored in league 1, surely we'r setting our standards higher than that

Speaking as a leeds fan, Beckford is quality!

Some of these suggestions are * minging! Either no chance we can sign them or they are absolute toss.

Pogatetz (pish) Barton (he'll be in jail) Alonso (we'll just have to sell the stadium to buy him)...come on people. Put some thought into it.

Gomis from Dundee Utd. is a decent player but where do you think he would fit into our system? Is he better than what we have in midfield? I am not sure.

Please sort out the LB position! Need a striker with goals in him. And possibly a CM. Get rid of all the dead wood. I'd take Mccormack, Beckford, james Mccarthy, Silvy from barca. But who knows who we'll end up with? We have to spend this summer to win the league comfortable next season & get a couple of away wins in the champions league!

Plus he's in EPl now so I don't think we can afford him!

I would be happy with a good left back. If that's all we got , it would be fine with me
If was greedy then a good goal scorer

a top class left back is a must as well as a striker with pace dont think fletcher is the answer tbh dont know much about cech. sylivino would do a job for a season or 2. think marc janko would be the (blue chip) signing we all crave. wot ever happened to ched evans at man city we were in for him in the winter maybe try again at end of season.a big strong midfielder to play along side brown and maybe a replacement for naka.

funny that hes in Liverpool, which as cities go is 10 times more of a * hole than Glasgow.

Mentioned this in another thread and will throw it out there...Orlando Engelaar. Hes the unit that played for holland in Euro 2008. Hes 6'6, defensive midfielder and hes only played 20 games all season for Schalke. theyr in 7th, no European football, plus hes only started 4 games this year. Would cost a bit but I reckon it would be a top notch buy and could actually happen. £5mill or so. Also like to see us going for Kevin Doyle and Marek Cech.

I'll prob get slated for mentioning these guys as it means we would actually be spending a few quid but I dont see why we shouldnt. Its worth investing in top talents this summer.

    * it, get Ronaldo while wev got the wallet out.

Some of the suggestions here are * ridiculous

    * sake are people drugged up here? Joey Barton! * need your head read.

Someone said they'd love Rooney and Kaka in a bit of tounge and cheek... but then went on to seriously suggest Xavi Alonso! Behave yourself.

Leroy Lita? No thanks, i'd rather stick with big Jan and Sammy.
    Michael Owen - I wouldn't pay him £20k never mind £50k + bonuses

Providing we keep what we have (by that i mean 1st team regulars) i'll be delighted to add Sylvinho or another good LB. A proven goalscorer - big Marc Janko would be ideal but i would also welcome a pacy frontman. I also think James McCarthy would be £1m very well spent - great prospect.

Engelaar would be a good shout and he was a stand out performer in Euro 08 before the Dutch imploded - bust a gut to get this guy serious quality.
Sylvinho is rumoured to want one more pay day and he fancies Celtic as Sky's correspondent for Revista de La Liga has mentioned
Upfront, I'd take a punt on Ched Evans if he's available, but I want the Hutch to be given his chance this season and not just for 5 minutes per game.
We can get rid of Donati, Hartley, JvoH, Killen, Nakamura and controversially McGeady, to raise the funds for Engelaar

sylvinho would be a good signing to be our first choice, but it im sure misun is a left back? mizuno will surely step into naka's position which could save spending money there, and mcarthy would partner brown in the midfield? we could do with cover. hibs cm bamba has been good this season too, big strong guy, and can pass the ball. what we really need is a goal scorer and steven fletcher will be the same as riordan when h was at celtic, wont get his game! gudjohnson would be an amazin player to get, but i dont think he would come.

I'd love a champion league quality Striker (we'll probably end up with Fletcher or McCormack)

A Midfielder like Naka ( Again scour the lower championship teams for this bad boy or even Gomis will no doubt be on the radar.)

A quality defender ( Lee Wikie comes to mind for our budget :56::52:)

What crackpot suggested Xavi Alonso OMFG :56::56::56::56::31: hes just been linked on Revista De La Liga with Real Madrid for like 23 million euros or something but im sure we could snap him up  planet some people live on.

I also wouldn't mind Davie Moyes coming in either, maybe he could bring some Everton kids along with him.

A few of the Shaktar Donestk players or Standard Liege players that have been mentioned would be quality but they'res no way we'd pay anything near what there price is.

Seen Beckford suggested quite alot, if hes that good why is he still playing in League 1 and no English big guns have came for him ?

    red bull salzburg
    £6m

great control and finishing abilities, left footed, good height too (6'5") but not a target man as such.
