Just back from game, in stadium before kick off i said to stepson that our midfield was weak for this game, and it was unfortunately correct, in my opinion, Crosas should NOT have played -he is lightweight and doesnt do enough, yes he has some nice passing, but THAT IS IT. he had no penetrative runs, and does not get stuck in, and JVOH played his usual game..* *!, these two, let us down, the rest were all right, but you will NEVER win a game when you start with 10 men (JVOH). Finally, i firmly believe that had we a more mobile striker along side skippy, we would have beat them comfortably, cos they were awfull, but skippy was alone. ....TAXI FOR JVOH! :31:

More people need to be positive like this.

It's not over yet but we have to beat Dundee Utd on Tuesday night.

I was one of the ones calling for Crosas to be given his chance in the big games, he got it but didn't grab it with both hands.

Keep the faith bhoys, it may be outwith our hands but it's not yet over.

another thing. this wont be popular but Artur IMO is the main cause of our problems with crosses. He stays on his line even when the ball is in the 6 yard box. When he does come of it he is useless. Contrast that with Alexander today. He is nto brilliant but he came to take crosses all the time. Its no coincidence that no matter what CB combination we use we are bricking it with crosses. Its Artur. He is a good shot stopper but one of the worst cross takers I have ever seen at a high level. Problem is you have to deal with a lot more crosses than shots in a game so its a fatal flaw in a goalie. When Artur goes we will see an end to all this panic with crosses.

We didn't play badly today. It was far from a "shamefull display", if we lose the league it won't be because of this defeat. The damage was done long before this.

You really have no idea about football and cant judge a footballer if you think thar. Maloney has a better shot, goals, free kicks, better at picking a pass, far better vision, a far better team player, far better attitude etc etc. All Aidan has is dribbling which sometimes is great but sometimes is greedy and pointless. He is poor in terms of goals, has a rank shot and so often makes the wrong decision and looses the ball. WGS was a winger himself, and one of the very best at that, and he can see all that. A fully fit Maloney v a full fit McGeady is an easy choice.

Absolute garbage today, Keltoi you are so deluded I worry for you. We could be playing until now and still wouldn't have scored. I don't care how much possession we had we did nothing with it, and were devoid of any cutting edge.

In the first half our gameplan seemed to be win free kicks and lump it in for JVOH. Great tactics from the Ginger Genius. Consequently McDonald was never in the box and our most potent goal threat was wasted, by our own manager's tactics !

Second half we had a go but could have played all day and not scored. To have lost a 7 point lead to this Rangers side and now be behind them is embarrassing.

Maloney was garabge, a clear mistake to go with him and Crosas and JVOH were a waste of a jersey.

I note the players you seem to be most critical of are the Irish ones.

On the point Gunt made, I personally thought Artur could have claimed the cross for the goal. It was in his 6 yard box and he was on his knees by the time it went in?

Totally agree. There is a lot of hysterical emotional * posted above and bears no reality to the actual performance today. We played well bar penetration (due to 10 men wall). How often do we get 60-70% domination at Ibrox. That was certainly one of the best Ibrox performances in a long while. So to go mad about this game is just wrong. We lost the first goal and that nearly always costs in OF games. BY all means people can question why we blew previous chances to go out of sight but this game is a different matter. This is a match thread about this performance. There are seperate threads for the wider picture of this season.
