we would be aswell put our 1st team there and use our reserves and promiseing
players in the spl ,maybe then we could get a win.

I have been saying for years that a system like this should be in place. It is definetly a good idea. It may even strengthen the 3rd division also.

If there's something about that, I would listen to the idea.

But right know I don't like the idea. In the last two matches in the Reserve League Celtic have played against St. Mirren - with Billy Mehmet, Dennis Wyness, Tom Brighton, Gary Mason and Will Haining, and Hibs with van Zanten, Steven Thicot, Steve Pinau, Fabián Yantorno and Alan O'Brien...

Not saying all these players are decent, but I can't imagent that the third division should be better opposites than the back-up players in SPL.

"Finally" there's something I can disagree with the board with :icon_mrgreen:

I think this would be a fantastic idea gives all these reserve players much more to play for plus it will give us more of a chance to see what we have in the reserves.

If it came to a stage where we needed to call up a reserve to cover for injuries etc, don`t think we could use these `b` players as surely ya can`t sign to play for 2 teams

it would be good for scotish football, it would improve the 3rd division because the other other teams would follow suit aka rangers

Rangers following suit wouldn't improve the third division though...

There will be a clause, similar to Spain, where the second tier is the glass ceiling for the B team.

I think our reserves would make it to the spl if this was to happen

Would be cracking to go and watch them play at a cheap cost and stand on terracing. :icon_mrgreen:

Not sure where it would be played, would we build a stadium, use lennoxtown or groundshare with Albion Rovers or someone?

Itd be great for it to happen, would potentially mean we could come up aginst htem in a cup as well, but another side, does that mean we need to buy the players off the club? if we want to bring them into the first team?

im not sure it would work. you would effectivley be starting a new football team although they are our players. celtic would never allow it anyway because they need revenue from the first team and everyone would watch the b team win games , play better football and all this at cut price. plus everyone we buy goes straight into that team anyway. sorry for the negativity but im * scunnered at the moment.

Funny you should say that, I think they'd have a huge following pretty quickly. Mostly based on cheap ticket pricing, the fact you can see the stars of the future first and they wouldn't be spoilt by success either and feel more in touch with the side.

    Definite :50: from me.

    Definitely mate.

It would be good if the weekends that we play on Sunday, as we could go watch the reserve team cheaply on the Saturday, an away game 3.00pm kick off on a Saturday for once lol :icon_mrgreen:
