if you were given 50 million in the summer to buy players who would you go for,and at the same time you had to get rid of 8 players at celtic at the same time who would they be and why?

M.Brown-wont need him at all next season

    Doumbe-waste

Naylor- get a decent replacement and we'll have Misum and Wilson as back up.

    Donati- no heart

    Naka- Going anyway.

Skippy-We could get decent money for him and he's a decent spl player at best. ONLY if we got 4.5million plus.

Voh- We could get decent money for a player, who is to injury prone and past his best. high wage earner- ONLY IF WE GOT 3million

    Sammy-complete donkey.

I'd also get rid of Mcmanus especially for 5 million that Newcastle were prepared to pay,

    Players out:

    1. Mark Brown - Wont be needed.
    2. Lee Naylor - Not good enough.
    3. Mo Donati - Not good enough.
    4. Georgios Samaras - Still to prove himself I feel.
    5. Nakamura - Cause he's going anyway.
    6. Joe Doumbe - Unlucky perhaps.
    7. Bobo Balde - Not worth extending contract.
    8. Chris Killen - Not good enough.

    In:

    Taye Taiwo (LB) from Marseilles.
    Mario Gomez (ST) from Stuttgart
    Jeremy Menez (Playmaker) from Monaco

Been a while since I did a check on who's who in emerging footballers, so that's all I can think of that suits the criteria right now :50:

So you're saying you'd keep Skippy?

Who in their right mind's going to pay any more than about £3m for him? :56:

See these boys who play Fitba Manager and think they know better than a real manager? * me!

Bayern Munich had tried to line up Mario Gomez for the end of the season but didn't want to pay the £25m that they were asking for. Are Celtic?!

Jeremy Menez is a left winger and is at Roma. You think he's going to leave Roma in Serie A for the SPL? * Jesus! :56::56:

If I could ask Gordon Strachan a couple of questions it would most definately revolve around why he signed and released Gravesen, but hasn't released Balde who's past it and won't get a game, Doumbe who's invisible, Killen who's a back-up striker that was * injured when we needed him, Donati who's not cut it, why we paid money to get Ben Hutchinson 6 months early to leave him in the reserves and don't even get me started on McCourt and his fellow * Irish league pal.

You've still got to be realistic about lads coming to the SPL. * knows a lot of our targets recently ain't materialised because people don't want to play St Mirren and Falkirk four times a season minimum.

See, that came about when big Balde's move to Sunderland apparently collapsed because he refused to sign a confidentiality clause. Everyone was wondering what secret was worth £30 grand a week, or whatever he's on.

    Same supposedly happened with Birmingham:

To be fair I'm going to believe my club over an ex-Hun manager, though. He probably is just happy and settled up here since he's lived here for donkeys and is picking up a nice wage doing * all.

Worth moving down south for a year, maybe two before he retires or see out the last year, get his loyalty bonus and retire.

if any one you want they would come its only a question ffs lol

    Hmm. Difficult to be realistic.

    A left back.
    A left-footed left winger.
    A quality centre back.
    Pacey forward.

£50m could buy us some good players for those positions.

I still think it'd be more fun to keep it semi-realistic. Like I'd go for something like..

Stephane M'bia from Stade Rennais for right back.

Michael Johnson from Man City for central midfield since he's not likely to get into their first team any time soon.

I'd take back Mark Viduka for a season from Newcastle if it was cheap/free, he'd still be ten times better than JVoH. If that wasn't viable because of wages, maybe someone like Kevin Doyle from Reading who's spent enough time with Reading to want a shot back at trophies. Or, even a sly contract offer to Fred who Lyon are trying to punt on now, and is possibly moving back to Brazil which'd be a waste. There's also the option of Javier Saviola who Real Madrid want to move on at the end of the season.

For that * left back area a sly bid for Nicky Shorey from Villa who's not broken into the first team even with the first choice left back out injured might be a good idea, he'd be good enough in the SPL.

    Wouldn't need £50m.
