Celtic Park is the property of Celtic FC, and if Celtic FC do not want any political campaign on their property they are within their right to remove people who do it from their property.

Take the protests to the Spanish or Israeli embassies.

    Depends..
Back when the second intifada started when Martin O'Neil first arrived, you'd see dozens every week at home and away games. I remember seeing loads during the time of the Seville run. Recently, the number has decreased but I always take mine and there is always people who have a Palestine flag regularly out with the GB. Somebody down at the front of the SW corner, some lads at the back of the JS upper, some guys on the back wall of the 113 and quite a few mroe that I can't remebmer off the top of my head. When israel assaulted Gaza at the turn of the year, the number of flags greatly increased again, I counted maybe 50 at one game, and now some people have kept bringing their flag to the game fater the fighting has stopped, including myself.

Basque flags on the other hand, are more common at CP. You can even buy them from the street vendors outside, some of which even have "celtic - Champions" inscribed on the middle of them...

Isn't it a bit ironic that you have a Palestine flag in your sig on a Celtic website..

But this is neither the property of Celtic nor Celtic Park.

    So, no, it isn't.

Do you not see how your actions are against the ethos of the club?

Well then you are either lying or unable to read.

    ,

The flag itself is an endorsement and that is why you bring it and therefore Celtic have every right to confiscate it.

That may be your reason what about the rest of them do they all no Margaret don't think so.Anyway without trying to have a go at you , you know fine well that aint the reason you fly the Palestine flags at games mateThis GB carry on is getting right under my skin why not just support Celtic and forget about all politics if you want to do that do it at home or join the protests in the city because I for one can't be arsed with this going on at games.

As for the guy on Real Radio acting all hard done by I don't get it this is coming from the same guys who brought shame on our club in the minutes silence/Poppygate.What do you think the club will do just sit back and take that behaviour from our supporters no chance yous are het they will try everything to stop the GB from causing another scene outside Celtic Park that made national news and damaged alot of the hard work done by Celtic to stamp out this kind of behavior.

I am all for people singing and creating an atmosphere but can't be bothered with the other side of it.I sit in 111 and I am looking to move seats next season if anyone wants to swap 3 seats in 111 for anyware in the lower tear let me know.

Is people flying the Ireland flag at CP an endorsement then? As I've said, the flying of my flag is not representing a political organisation, which is what Celtic are against.

That is the reason I fly a Palestine flag at games mate. I took mine well before the GB were around, my old man started taking one in 2001 which I would wave. If anyone remembers the huge Palestine flag which would sometimes hang from the top tier years ago (it's about 8ft by 6ft) well, that big flag's in my garage right now lol..

Strathclyde police are in charge at games. If they think there is any issues then i'm afraid fans have to comply...or stay away. Simple.

Celtic Park and Celtic FC belong to US the supporters, not a transient board of directors.

Did the supporters have any say in the appointment of John Reid, does he not have a political background?

Celtic FC own it and the board make decisions. Strathclyde Police ar ein charge on match days...what they say goes.

John Reid had a political background yes...not sure what the point is though...hes not in his previous role or trying to put his views onto celtic fans..

I'm not glossing over anything, you and I both know the reasons why people fly those flags at games and I mentioned both particular causes in my post. As far as Celtic is concerned it is straightforward...

    Read the Social Mission Statement

The club does not wish to be associated with any political agendas. If you or the GB can't accept that, then you'd better get used to being ejected from games.

Eh, no. By flying the palestinian flag you are showing support to the terrorist groups from that country (Hezbollah) who you openly support and endorse. Of course flying the tri-colour is not endorsment you moron, we have Irish roots which is what the Irish flag is for, we dont have Palestinian roots.

So it wasn't an issue 10 years ago? Why now?
