Celtic v Rangers.....Official Match Thread

I am fully behind Celtic and have been even in the dark days but there comes a time when we just cant keep saying it doesnt matter when it really does. 2 shots on target and 3 off target in an old firm match against a week scum side to me is not acceptable, and as a fan of the team i love i have every right to ask why we are playing so bad. I pay my money like the rest of the loyal fans and feel I deserve more passion.

Playing such a * midfield to combat their * midfield was a mistake - we have to play the ball players & McGeady, Crosas were left out for Hartley, Flood.

Big mistake, we got what WGS set the team out to do - not get beaten.

End of.

If that's what he aspires to then, * me gently - that's a sad state of affairs.

 

yeah, it was a sore one, felt bad for brown, that was some crack he got, albeit accidentally, you could tell he didnt want to sit out, but he looked *

am very dissapointed in the fact that mcgeady just had his best performance of the season in an international qaulifier midweek and wgs decides to bench him,,i really cant understand decisions like these....baffling,,brain numbing.......has anyone heard wgs' reasoning behind this decision????????

 

He looked great when he came on and hid in the Shame's players shadows.

 

with the exception of boruc,,hartley and caldwell the rest were pretty chit too,,im no surprised he couldnt get into the game when he came on,,clearly wgs doesnt like him and he'd have been behind robson too if he was fit....

 

Good to see most papers only give Fleck a 5.

 

I agree that McGeady prob should have started...but seems Strachan have something against him....like he did with Riordan....even if he is better than other players in his position he won't be first choice.

Also I thought Brown was alright today. Was good to see him coming back on inspite of the concussion he suffered....one hard * he is!!

Boruc and Caldwell were our best players...Naylor and Brown was alright...rest were *.

Apart from the cross early on, Flood was bollocks and I lost count the amount of time we wasted a pass or lost the ball. Clearly McGeady should have started instead!!

The game was * because of Rangers' tactics. We are struggling to break teams down at the moment and they are well practised at the old 4-5-1. If they managed to get to the UEFA final like that, while at the same time destroying people's interest in the tournament, no wonder they managed to stifle an Old Firm with Celtic off-form.
