No need for him? Donati doesn't do anything for us mate. I agree it'd be nice to get him off of our payroll, but think about the partnership of Brown and Flood. In last weekend's game against Hibs, the fact that Crosas was paired with Brown gave Brown the opportunity to go wherever he liked on the field. Think about the possibilities if Flood had been next to him.

Then Brown wouldn't be able to go forward as much?

The reason he gets forward is that Crosas is trained to sit.. it was his position at Barca and easily his best position for us.

When Brown plays with Robson it doesn't work because Robson wants to go forward and that makes Brown have to sit.

Flood would go forward too, so again Brown would end up sitting.

He was young and trying to establish himself. He has proved himself in spl and would be a decent addition for the spl

He was young, you say that as if it was ages ago. This was last season. Hes an average player and signing him would show a major lack of ambition, if we want to progress in the CL we shouldnt be going for bog-standard players.

he is a better player than gavin rae.lee naylor is our first choice left back, does that mean he's any good.wilson, hinkel, caddis would be better left backs but its only one man's views that count.
he's 23,if we sign him for the money involved we cant go wrong.he would be a good squad player, who would come in and do a job.people were saying the same when robson was signed from dundee utd,or mc donald from motherwell.give the lad a chance, the fact his heart would be in it gives him a chance, better than some off the boys that see us as an easy pay day :shamrock:

I say again just because it doesnt work out at a given team for any player it doesnt mean they cant do a job for another team were they play different formations and positions etc

We aren't a club that can have 11 cl players...we HAVE to have decent squad players. The spl is our bread and butter...win that and pocket the cl money...thats our lot for now...like it or lump it.

was an exciting prospect when he was with man city and in the few games he played he got rave reviews in the paper but then he got injured and was then frozen out of the team on return but watched him a couple of times since he joined cardiff and he looked a differant player to the one I watched playing for man city. Havnt watched him much since he moved to scotland but i remember he scored a spectacular goal last season against st.mirren. If we can get him for 60,000 then he's well worth a shot but i wouldnt pay much more for him because he still doesnt have a great track record overall and if strachon is signing him jus based on his performances against celtic then i really fear for our future

my worry is that it might be more dead wood. . .I know strachan has a better veiw of things at lennoxtown, but I would like to see one of our own younger guys get a wee chance when the time is right.

I mean, I dont dislike flood as a player, but he aint gonna be a first choice i dont think.

I like Flood as a player and i welcome him to Celtic, but he will never be a major player with us. He will only be bit-part.

If he is fine with that then so am i

the lad has a good engine. for 60k and as backup you cant do wrong. although, i would like wgs to get the left back sorted. that for me is the 1 area that needs absolute attention. if flood comes in, get the driftwood tae buggery. the wages they are on, and, they are doing nothing. i know and understand the money situations with tranfers, but alittle ambition from the board would be great. even just to get our enthusiasm going. the tranfer dealings of late has not stirred us up, or got excitment going. maybe a good signing would entise some fans to come back.

Lennon in the Evening Times today saying We're looking at Flood because we have no cover for Naka. I take it he forgot about McGeady,Mizuno,McGinn,Caddis and McCourt....

If thats the case and we're thinking of playing him on the right, then im even more against this deal than I was originally. Havent seen Mccourt or Mcginn to have an opinion, but IMO Naka, McGeady, Mizuno, Caddis & Maloney are all better than Flood.

are you serious? that's pretty * reasoning to get good signings. who cares if we're losing fans, they're obviously not the right kind of fans if they can't stick around and support their team while they go through a little rough patch, the first in 3 years. We're still top of the league ffs!
