ok so since WGS took over 3 and a half years ago WGS has bought 38 players including this window below are the names plus fees. Please discuss wat you have thought of his transfer dealings to date. in my opinion not good enough when all we hear now is money is tight, and we cant afford players for the first team etc etc etc.

    Arthur Boruc 800,000
    Maciej Zurawski 2.2m
    Naka 2.7m
    Mo Camara free
    Paul Telfer 200,000
    Adm Virgo 1.2m
    Jeremie Aliadiere loan
    Du Wei trial
    Mark Wilson 400,000
    Roy Keane free
    Doin Dublin free
    Kenny Miller free
    Gary Caldwell free
    Derek Riordan 150,000
    Jiri Jarosik 1.5m
    Evander Sno 80,000
    Jan V of Hessellink 3.4m
    Thomas Graveson 2m
    Lee Naylor 800,000
    Steven Pressley free
    Mark Brown 100,000
    Paul Hartley 1m
    Scott McDonald 700,000
    Scott Brown 4.4m
    Massimo Donati 1.2m
    JJ Perrier Doumbe 400,000
    Chris Killen free
    Koki Mizuno 400,000
    Ben Hutchinson 300,000
    Andrius Hinkel 1.9m
    Barry Robson 1.1m
    Paddy McCourt 100,000
    Georgios Samaras 1.2m
    Marc Crosas 400,000
    Glenn Loovens 2.5m
    Shaun Maloney 1m
    Neil Mcginn not sure

If iv left any1 out please say so. An take into consideration transfer fees, plus wages an bonuses etc plust money lost if player sold on for less than bought. In my opinion strachans dealings have been expensive failures, bar a few but they cant justify all the money lost on crap players. p.s. this is not fuel for anti strachan brigade just observation.

Forget my opinion of ratings ;) The focus is on the spendage and the figures were taken from wikipedia and where I doubted the figures I looked it up on traditional media outlets like BBC and Sky. All in all take of it what you want but I reckon the spendage is pretty accurate.

I'm going to put next to each name

    + (for success)

    or
    - (for fail)

or 0 (so so/not seen enough of the player/ injured most of the time)

    I have 9 pluses.

Are you including wages? Because with the amount of players Strachan has bought, he's probably spent almost as much as MON, overall.

Wages aren't included but impacted the ratings of certain signings like Keane and Gravesen.

Also if you check my link I've also provided MoN's signings and at the side you can see they spent a similar amount on transfer fees.

Im pretty shocked by that, all the GS fanatics would make you believe he had a fraction of what MON had

I think you're right to an extent although I'd speculate MoN enjoyed higher wages to offer.

Probably because he could be trusted. WGS simply can't.

You think WGS could be trusted with high wages? Gravesen springs to mind straight away.

Whereas Lennon and Sutton spring to mind when I think of MON.

I might be wrong but i think wage levels are back up at the 2004 levels.
Also big difference on what the huns were spending on transfer fees and wages back then compared to now
