I was in Ireland for St Pats a few years ago, street was awash with running battles.

There's a lot of differences I've noticed but Scotland has been integrated into the music and drinking culture the navvies brought with them all those years ago.

i'm from clare bud,its trad music mecca!
go into any village or town in west and north clare at any time of year and you'll find players from all over ,including scotland ,learning tunes from the locals.think about it,how many irish trad bands are there compared to scottish?

I have been to both countries and can only say the best things about you lot. irish and scots have been absolutely friendly and welcoming. I always felt absolutely great, I really felt home somehow. Can't wait to come over again :50:

edit: one difference I noticed: Whisky vs Whiskey
