    Should rebuff the approach. Keep the big man. If you start selling your captain then it shows lack of ambition and weakness, IMO.

    I think that when the big man returns to form then we will be fine at the back. The goals have coincided with him not playing as well as he should. When he returns to form then we will go back to having the best defensive record like last year!

    berra at herts would do a good job for us , infact you could probs get berra and driver for 4 mill, in saying that although mick aint that good in the air (in our box) he also has to cover for naylor quite a bit which doesnt let him put his whole mind into his own position

    I wont judge Loovens mate, when that man plays 8-10 in a row at the back, then i will judge him, but in my opinion he would be a better option in the long term than mick.

    £4m lot of money.

    exactly how i feel. i wouldnt mind too much if he went in the summer, although i would prefer he stayed and we bought in competition for him .

    him and caldwell have a good understanding with each other and they actually play well as a pair positionally - the problems this season i feel have been that they have lost balls in the air and things like that have led to goals. chucking caldwell and loovens together and asking them to understand each other and operate together immediately for the title run is just madness!

    4 million is a fair offer though....and there was even talk of a 6 million pound 22 year old left back .......jose enrique

    ps i have said all along he is not good enough to be a celtic captain and would want to see him as a back up centre back next year but if we need to sell i wont lose any sleep. 4 mill is decent

    i wouldnt do it, SO he going through bit of bad spell, so is caldwell nobody is wanting him out or that, there is no point in selling one of our most influential players and captain. Every1 looks upto him because he is a good leader and also people who say he isnt captain material he led us too the title run last yr one of biggest turnarounds even lennon said tht

    He may not exactly be our best defender we have had but would rather we kept hold of him him and Caldwell have linked up well with each other plus i cant see Strachan selling his captain.
