    Hartley would be a good captain has had previous roles as captain at Hearts between him and Brown would make good captains.

    I agree to a certain extent mate, but for me, Hartley should not even be guaranteed a start at the moment. I'd prefer Crosas / Robson with Hartley on the bench....

    I wouldn't have thought Brown until I seen him in the tunnel against Hibs when he was spurring the bhoys on. Surprised me that.

    Apart from that, it would maybe keep him at the club longer and if there is somebody to look up to in our team in terms of effort and controlled commitment then why not?

    He'll get better as he goes on also. Just hope it wouldn't have a bad affect his game.

    i agree, i went for mcmanus and i think he is a reliable defender and is doing a great enough job being captain

    at the time mcmanus was the right choice imo :50:

    wish he had passed the buck the guy is useless, the only reason he took a knock was because he jumps in like a feckin cabbage, sick of all the big honest guy pish, hes just no celtic class never has been , never will be.

    After thinking carefully, Caldwell. Brown would be a good choice in a few years, he has all the same qualities you see in people like Roy Keane, Steven Gerrard, John Terry...

    Caldwell is more experienced and composed though, I'd make him captain for the moment.

    I'd strongly contest that m8, there's been times where him and Caldwell have been compared to the likes of Miller and McLeish at their peak. People tend to forget the good times though when they are angry at something, that's true in every walk of life.

    He will bounce back, but i do agree he needs some time on the sidelines to get things into perspective.

    Got to agree, sorry but that post is a lot of rubbish imo.

    I've got to say Caldwell, he's had experience, got determination and a passion for the team. He knows what he's doing and he knows how to keep cool and keep the others cool.
