I think the club's tradition, reputation, training grounds and all other things should be enough to draw a player to Celtic. I think Strachan isn't pressing the board to give him money. The money is there, but the * are stingy, and Strachan doesn't ask.

Im verry happy with the result and I'll tell you why.
Last year against barcalona we needed 2 away goals and we went for the draw.
As a long life celtic supporter i felt betrayed that we never had a go and the captain said our tatics were to go for a draw, i nearly through my pint through the telly as I had bet a lot of hard earned cash on the tic that game.

This year i watched as we played Man U were winning 1-0 and nearly scored a second then our manager took all the strikers off with 20 mins to go, what did he expect to happen of course Man u were going to score, but everyone in here seems to think that was a great result (i thought it was crap) we could have won that game and been in the uefa cup now' a manager and players who dont believe in themselves should not be at celtic.

3 days ago I watched BBC news showing how empty the spl grounds were and something needed to happen' it reminded me of 1970s when celtic were drawn against aberdeen in the early rounds of the scottish cup, i said celtic will win that about 4-0 and my dad said dont be daft, the aberdeen chairman will be on the phone to celtic just now deciding on a draw and i would not be surprised if the game at park head is a draw and the 3rd game the real one.

Well the first 2 games were 0-0 and celtic won 4-0 in the third, it was all about gate money.

Today I put £800 on Aberdeen @ 6/1 on betfair and have now got back my barcalona money.

Celtic have been downsizing since 2003 and it sticks out like a sore thumb and i blame myself and other celtic fans who bought the loser 2003 video, the board know that we will accept a run in the cl but reaching a uefa cup final is was celebrated like 1967 which was wrong.

We have £27,000 a week defender playing with the kids while we are playing * defenders in our 1st 11.

I dont know or dont care what the problem is with strachan and balde but he is a celtic player and by not playing the best available the manager is not doing his job by putting the team first.

There will be loads on here call me a hun etc for simply noticing what is wrong whilst you are kidding yourself on, take a step back and look at the quality of our players and with each transfer window the quality gets worse would any of the squad get in the 2003 team, the comments on the board answer this, we need maloney back asap ( maloney wanted to leave celtic because he was not getting a game)

And ask yourself this' are you really surprised that aberdeen beat us 4-2 the first time they have beat us since 2001.

I have just been reading the posts all year because you dont like it when people complain about the manager during the season.

But I think strachan should have been sacked after the first friendly after he said friendlies are not important ? NOT IMPORTANT when we had a CL qualifier in July ( and you know what happened then).

So all you strachan backers enjoy his wee comments' this guy is a comfotable loser always has been and always will be, he has only done well because scottish football is crap but we are slowly reaching the level of the rest.

    Hey Patto.
NO NO' celtic did it to me first, they went for a draw when they needed two goals, when i bet us against barcalona i thought we would get beat, but maybe just maybe when we throw everything at them we might just win,#

Then they played 1 up front and went for the draw.

They must have known that every celtic fan in the world would have backed them.
who does strachan think he is going for a draw in such a game, i and thousands of other celtic fans deserve better, i dont mind losing but not to even try is a disgrace, wish he had told me before i went to the bookies that celtic had no intention of trying in a knock out competiton, as i said strachan is a comfortable loser, and today im a comfortable winner

what utter tripe, naka has not gone past a player in * knows how long, he'll pass square and let someone else do the running. Why would anyone want naka in the middle and employ brown as a minder, brown is quickly becoming the most influential player at Celtic, make him cover naka and you lose a big part of his game. Please stop with this constant rubbish, thank * that you don't have cloning of humans or you'd be calling for boruc to be replaced by naka aswell as the back four.

We need players hungry for the shirt and the club and Naka is not one of them, he already has one foot in Japan

Firstly, it was a great game. Would love to see more games like that, but with us winning them.

Started badly with Boruc getting injured however I wonder if he would have played through the pain if his confidence had been higher?

Whoever said Mark Brown had proved himself capable should look at this game. He is not totally at fault for all the goals. But the first he isn't even close to even thought it was a good finish, the second slips under his body and the fourth he should have went through Diamond and the ball.

Our defence was a shambles, anything over the top bring joy for Aberdeen. However a lot of their crosses and play was by getting at Robson down the left, I don't blame him soley as I think he shouldn't be playing there although we didn't have too many other options. If Strachan is given money and he does not sign a left back he has to take a lot of blame for this, its time to make that position better. We have seen it for ages and he must have to, this isn't a dig at WGS but it needs fixed.

McGeady is good and has a lot of talent. But he does not show it often enough and his end product was dire. His shooting was a mile off as was his crossing and passing. Same goes for Hinkel, who got into great positions but put in bad crosses.

Brown offered some fightback as he looked better than the rest of our team but I wouldn't say he was great.

How Samaras starts I will never know, he is mince. Offers nothing to the team and I hope Jan starts next week.

The ref made some wrong desicions for both sides, looked like 2 offside goals were given, one for each team and I think the ref should sent off their player for an over the ball tackle.

However Aberdeen were full of running and we had nobody to blame but ourselfs. We are still the best of a bad bunch and will probably win the title anyway. Aberdeen should take points off them lot next week and we need to beat Hibs or things will start to look even worse.

    WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!

No, his game is all about running. He is the ideal DM behind Nakamura. If only Strachan played like this...

but where will he be running? i would say backwards because naka does not have the strenght to play in the middle. I would rather brown running at defenses than sitting back waiting for Naka to be knocked off the ball.

Please also remember that scotland have used Brown in a DM position and he never looks quite the player he has done recently for Celtic

Congradulations on your win mate brilliant stuff i actually thought about betting against my team this well this season, a love 2 bet, but just couldnt. your post is spot on a dont like the manager and never will there,s been to many bad days, and i am quite sick of it!!!!!!

Tactically he is rank rotten/ this goes with the formations and substitutions etc in europe, his majority of signings have been utter * as well, he has been successful here but he,s also had more luck than any other celtic manager!!!! reading your post mate brought a smile 2 the face actually 4 and a half grand mate good stuff.

bobo balde is celtics best defender and he,s been rotting in the reserves for 2 year!!! :54::54::54: Why????? The managers to naive and selfish or blind to see he can defend. confidentiallity agreement when he was going to sign for birmingham last year>>>>>Why????

This should be post of the year imo!! lol A love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brown hasn't got the passing or technique to be an AM. Naka, and most likely any player we take as his successor(let's say Stilić) will need somebody to do the running for him.

Running with the ball is supposed to be done on the wings, where it's better to lose the ball if that should happen than in the middle (obviously a quick counter attack coming from the middle is more dangerous, can play it to either wing). So I agree, Naka should be played in the middle where he has both sides of the field to use his playmaking skills. Mind you, he would absolutely need a strong defensive mid behind him like Robson or Hartley.

Well IMHO Brown has everything that a complete midfielder needs he's doing something right, he's been given a free role by WGS and his performances have lead to being linked to multi million moves.

I'm sorry i think naka has been a great player for us but he is not the player he was because his thoughts are elsewhere.

The sooner naka leaves the better as your constant naka this and naka that is becoming tedious

that must be why MON had a 60% SPL winning record and WGS has 100&
that must be why MON has a 0% last 16 SPL record and WGS has a 66% one.

If thats all luck then why throw away the lucky horse shoe.
