There are some mitigating circumstances to be fair. The defence had no understanding with the new goalie. Brown hasnt played at 1st team level in ages. Hinkel was not 100% fit and Robson was the only LB option left.

That said, there are things that can be changed. WGS really has to drop Mick. he is only decent in about one game in four. We would be so much stronger if we had a really good CB in Micks place. Obviously the need for a LB was massively underlined today. Robson is a good central or right side midfielder in the Naka position but he is never a LB - too slow, too little defensive instincts. And clearly with Brown * and Artur mental we need to one or maybe 2 good goalies in.

So:

Drop Mick and play Loovens or buy a CB
Buy a LB
Dangle anything up to £750,000 in front of United now for Zalusca.

We wouldnt have lost today if we had had all that.

 

where was the defence, last few weeks after rangers game defending has been shockin, mainly dundee utd and this, conceding 4 goals is so poor for a team of celtics nature, so dissapointed, we need a talland very good defender that would be a good start, to small a team and i would of rather had boruc in goals rather than brown

 

today has shown how poor our defence is, aberdeen could have scored six or seven.

imo we have the worst defence in over 30 years, mcmanus is one of the worst centre halves ever to pull on a celtic jersey.

McGeady and Broon were the only two player's that showed promise, only downfall of the two i'd say was Mcgeady's crossing. The back four are a * joke, and Hartley serve's no purpose apart from passing the ball side ways like a a * crab.

 

He's just like Lennon, which is perfect. And McManus probably felt the effects of the bang in his head, should've been subbed.

 

Eh thats the truth. maybe hes a legend to some cause he chose to play for ireland but he is talked up to be "world class" be some ppl with their head in the sand. If he was world class he would be tearing apart the SPL every week! When he plays pish he never gets the stick WGS gets.

 

Zaluska let in 3 against Motherwell today, and I doubt they were all from shambolic defending on set pieces. I think he's far from a proven product.

I don't think it's fair to question his loyalty to Celtic if he slates the team. Do you want us to put every bad performance down to bad-luck and rest easy as we will win the next game? Sometimes the team needs to be slated and especially for today. Langfield didn't make ONE save in the 2nd half FFS. This is Aberdeen not Inter Milan.

 

Sammy needs to spend some time in reserves and go see a * barber.
